Bob, a key member of Yukon Partners since August 2015, plays a crucial role in guiding deal teams, underwriting investments, and ensuring compliance with investment policies. He oversees portfolio monitoring, reviews monthly reports, confirms risk ratings, and assists in managing underperforming assets. Furthermore, Bob serves on Yukon’s Valuation committee, overseeing the quarterly valuation process.
Bob’s extensive career, spanning over 40 years, encompasses corporate banking, mezzanine investment, and private equity. His journey began in 1981 at Continental Illinois National Bank (now Bank of America) in Chicago, focusing on project financing and later, the securitization of commercial real estate and corporate buyout loans. He subsequently joined First Bank System (now U.S. Bank) in Minneapolis as Senior Vice President and Division Manager. There, he oversaw lending to large corporations, financial institutions, and private equity-sponsored middle-market buyouts in the Eastern US. His responsibilities also included originating and overseeing investments in private equity funds for the bank holding company.
In 2002, Bob transitioned to Churchill Capital Partners in Minneapolis as a Partner, where he originated and managed a portfolio of mezzanine and preferred equity investments.
Beyond his professional achievements, Bob has contributed to the community by serving on the board of a local community bank and a nonprofit organization supporting homeless youth in the Twin Cities. A former Harvard Crew member and Ironman triathlete, he remains active as a Nordic skier and cyclist.
