Valeas Capital Partners Exceeds Target with Oversubscribed Inaugural Fund, VCP Fund I

SAN FRANCISCO – Valeas Capital Partners, a private equity firm headquartered in San Francisco, has announced the successful closing of its first institutional fund, VCP Fund I, reaching over $600 million. This significantly surpasses the initial target for the fund, demonstrating strong investor confidence in Valeas Capital Partners and its strategic approach to private equity investments.

VCP Fund I garnered substantial support from a diverse group of high-quality institutional investors, alongside endorsements from former investment colleagues and prominent Founders and CEOs from previous investment partnerships. With the completion of this fundraise, Valeas Capital Partners now manages approximately $1.2 billion in assets, marking a significant milestone for the firm.

Founded by Rob Little and Ed Woiteshek, both alumni of Hellman & Friedman, Valeas Capital Partners distinguishes itself through a hands-on, investor-operator approach. Little and Woiteshek have assembled a high-caliber, cross-functional team that leverages its combined investment and operational expertise to collaborate with founders and management teams. This partnership model is designed to accelerate growth strategies and unlock compelling upside potential in portfolio companies. The fund’s general partner is also the largest investor in VCP Fund I, underscoring a strong alignment of interests with its limited partners.

“The successful closing of our inaugural fund is a pivotal moment for Valeas Capital Partners, and we are incredibly thankful for the trust our limited partners have placed in us,” stated Rob Little, Co-founder. “Our partnerships with investors are built on a shared belief that Valeas’ unique blend of investor and operator experience addresses a critical need in the market. We offer management teams a collaborative partner who not only understands their ambitions but also the practical challenges of scaling high-growth businesses.”

Ed Woiteshek, Co-founder, added, “Our expanding portfolio is a testament to the effectiveness of our values-driven culture, our extensive proprietary sourcing network, and our investor-operator philosophy. These elements provide us with unique insights into value creation and execution, often positioning Valeas Capital Partners as the preferred partner for management teams seeking to elevate their businesses.”
