Responsibilities

As Director, Business Development at Lucas James Talent Partners, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Cultivating relationships with business leads, effectively communicating LJTP’s service offerings.
  • Generating new business through networking, inbound marketing, and collaboration with strategic partners in private equity, venture capital, and related service sectors.
  • Engaging in account management activities to support the Director of Delivery, strengthen client relationships, and identify new opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Conducting face-to-face meetings and presentations with clients and prospects, attending industry events to expand business development efforts.
  • Collaborating with recruiters to ensure successful candidate placements and maintain client satisfaction.
  • Contributing to sales and marketing strategy, portfolio development, and overall business growth initiatives in partnership with LJTP Leadership.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for Lucas James Talent Partners Director, Business Development position will possess:

  • Over 10 years of business development experience, with at least 8 years specifically in recruitment, staffing, MSP/VMS, or human capital consulting industries.
  • Proven experience in client services and outbound sales, demonstrating a proactive approach to business development.
  • Strong customer service skills and a track record of building and nurturing professional relationships.
  • Ability to thrive in an independent, remote, home-office setting, showcasing self-motivation and discipline.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional multitasking and decision-making abilities to manage priorities effectively and contribute to business and client success.
  • Residence within the Greater Chicagoland Metropolitan Area.
