Foster + Partners Design State-of-the-Art PGA TOUR Production Studios

The PGA TOUR has enhanced its content creation capabilities with the completion of a cutting-edge production studio at its Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida campus. This new facility, designed by the globally renowned architectural firm Foster + Partners, is set to transform how golf content is produced and distributed to fans worldwide.

Strategically located near THE PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass, the studio building complements the PGA TOUR headquarters, also a Foster + Partners design completed in 2021. The architectural language established by Foster + Partners for the headquarters is clearly echoed in the new studio. Generous colonnades grace the south and east sides of the building, while a substantial overhanging roof provides shade and contributes to energy efficiency. Expansive glazing on these facades offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and water features.

A thoughtfully designed landscaped pathway seamlessly connects the studio and headquarters, fostering a unified campus environment for employees and visitors. This connection emphasizes the integrated nature of the PGA TOUR’s operations and provides easy access to the campus’s amenities for all. The consistent use of white metal, concrete, and glass in the material palette further strengthens the visual harmony between the two Foster + Partners designed buildings.

Nigel Dancey, Head of Studio at Foster + Partners, highlighted the synergy between the new studio and the headquarters, stating: “PGA TOUR Studios has a strong visual and spatial relationship with the headquarters – with spectacular landscaping and a vast lake connecting the two buildings. The new state-of-the-art studio has been flexibly designed to accommodate the company’s future growth and an ever-changing media landscape.”

The PGA TOUR campus, enhanced by this latest Foster + Partners project, has achieved LEED BD+C Gold certification. This recognition underscores the commitment to sustainable design and operation, incorporating energy conservation, water use reduction, and superior indoor air quality throughout the facilities. The studio exemplifies modern, sustainable architecture, aligning with both PGA TOUR’s operational needs and environmental responsibility.
