Prior to his impactful role at CrossHarbor Capital Partners, Richard Flohr cultivated an impressive 28-year tenure at Prudential Mortgage Capital Company (PMCC). His journey at Prudential culminated in the position of Managing Director, where he was a prominent member of PMCC’s Senior Management Group and spearheaded the company’s Capital Markets and CMBS programs. During his leadership, he successfully oversaw the sale of a substantial $2.9 billion in first mortgage CMBS loans across 29 securitizations, demonstrating his exceptional capabilities in capital markets. His career with Prudential began in 1990, encompassing diverse roles across equity, development, and debt sectors within their real estate business, providing him with a comprehensive perspective of the industry.
Before leading Capital Markets at Prudential, Flohr was entrusted with the responsibility of loan originations for national accounts throughout the central region of the United States. In this capacity, he originated over $12 billion in loans across all property types, showcasing his prowess in deal-making and his broad understanding of various real estate assets. Earlier in his Prudential career, he contributed to the Capital Markets unit of the Prudential Realty Group and served as Asset/Portfolio Manager for Prudential Realty Trust, a publicly-traded real estate investment trust until its liquidation in 1995. His foundational experience also includes positions at New York City-based real estate firms RGR Properties and Madison-Newmark Real Estate, further solidifying his extensive background in the real estate and finance sectors.
