Rarebreed Veterinary Partners Connects with Aspiring Vet Techs at the University of New Hampshire

It’s always special to return to familiar grounds, and for me, the Veterinary Technology program at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) holds a particularly fond place. As a proud alumnus and former faculty member of over 20 years, the scenic campus and its enriching environment for aspiring veterinary professionals are truly unmatched. The peaceful surroundings, complete with dairy cattle and horse barns, offer a unique setting for students immersed in the world of veterinary medicine, and a welcome dose of stress relief.

Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting UNH once again, invited by Veterinary Technology Program Director, Mary Wiley. This time, the purpose was to connect with the program’s engaged and committed students and discuss how Rarebreed Veterinary Partners supports their career journeys. The discussion also centered on a critical topic in our industry: burnout prevention. Thanks to the invaluable assistance of UNH Student Ambassador, Ava Mcnamara, the event was a great success.

The evening’s talk focused on “Building Resilience,” a vital skill for navigating the inevitable challenges of a veterinary career and life itself. In an industry where each day can bring demanding situations, developing robust resilience strategies is paramount. These strategies help us regain balance and maintain focus on our priorities, both professionally and personally. Rarebreed Veterinary Partners recognizes the importance of this balance and is dedicated to supporting veterinary professionals in thriving in all aspects of their lives, not just their careers. We aim to provide opportunities for growth and advancement while ensuring overall well-being.

To further demonstrate our commitment to student well-being, Rarebreed Veterinary Partners provided a delicious spread of sandwiches, chips, drinks, and ice cream sandwiches. Recognizing the simple yet powerful boost that good food can provide, we were happy to offer this treat to the hardworking students. It was a pleasure to connect with the future of veterinary technology at UNH and share valuable insights on building a resilient and fulfilling career with Rarebreed Veterinary Partners.
