Partners Village Store Westport MA: New Ownership, Same Community Charm

Partners Village Store in Westport, MA, a beloved community staple for 36 years, has transitioned to new ownership. Lydia Sweetser Gollner, a Westport resident, has taken the reins from founding owners Nancy Crosby and Jan Hall. While Crosby enters retirement, Hall will remain during the transition to ensure a smooth handover. This article explores the history of Partners Village Store and what this change means for the future.

A Westport Tradition Continues at Partners Village Store

Partners Village Store, located at 865 Main Road in Central Village, has been a cornerstone of the Westport community. Founded in 1979, the store has evolved significantly over the years. It began as a small retail space within a wholesale wine and beer-making supply business owned by Crosby and Pat Baker. Under the leadership of Crosby and Selena Howard, the retail aspect of the business flourished, eventually becoming a separate entity known as The Village Store.

From The Village Store to Partners Village Store: A History of Growth

In 1992, Jan Hall, a long-time employee since 1980, joined Crosby as co-owner. With Howard’s retirement, the name officially changed to Partners Village Store. Continued success led to a major expansion in 2003. The owners purchased and renovated an old farmhouse down the road, adding a kitchen, porches, a patio, gardens, and ample parking. The move to the current location at 865 Main Road was completed in 2007.
