Partners in Women’s Health: Updated Policies and Care Information

We at Partners in Women’s Health are dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate healthcare for all our patients. To ensure you have the most up-to-date information regarding our services and policies, please take note of the following important updates.

After-Hours Care Policy

For non-urgent or non-emergency medical needs that arise outside of our regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM), we want to ensure you receive the appropriate care while also managing after-hours resources effectively. Please be aware of our after-hours policy:

If you require assistance outside of our normal business hours, please contact our answering service. It’s important to remember that services provided for non-urgent or non-emergent issues outside these hours may incur a $25 after-hours fee. This fee is unfortunately not covered by insurance and will be your responsibility. We encourage you to contact our office during business hours for routine matters or to schedule appointments.

For prescription refills or other services requested after hours, a telemedicine appointment may be necessary. Partners in Women’s Health will bill your insurance for these telemedicine services. However, please understand that you will be responsible for any costs that your insurance does not cover. If you are calling solely to cancel an appointment outside of business hours, there is no charge for leaving a message with our answering service.

Patient Mask Policy

To protect the health and well-being of all our patients and staff, we have implemented a mask policy effective March 13, 2024. If you are feeling unwell but must attend your scheduled appointment, we kindly request that you wear a mask while in our office. This simple step helps prevent the spread of germs and protects others. Our Front Desk Staff will gladly provide you with a mask upon arrival if needed.

Furthermore, we understand that some patients may feel more comfortable if their healthcare provider wears a mask during their appointment. If you have this preference, please inform our Front Desk Staff, and we will ensure your provider is informed and complies with your request. Your comfort and safety are our priorities.

Exciting News: Obstetrical Care Transition to Penn State Hampden Medical Center

Partners in Women’s Health is thrilled to announce a significant enhancement to our obstetrical services. Effective March 1, 2025, all obstetrical care will be transitioned to the state-of-the-art Penn State Hampden Medical Center (PSHMC). While obstetrical care will be centered at PSHMC, please note that surgeries and gynecological care will continue to be performed at UPMC: Pinnacle and the West Shore Surgery Center.

This transition to Penn State Hampden Medical Center allows us to further strengthen our commitment to providing exceptional care for our obstetrical patients. As the only private OB/GYN practice in the region, we are proud to continually evolve and improve our services to meet your needs. For more detailed information about this transition, please refer to the Hampden Q&A section under the Patient Info tab on our website.

For routine yearly gynecology appointments, we offer convenient scheduling options. You can easily schedule your appointment through our Patient Portal online at any time. Alternatively, you can call our Central Scheduling Department during business hours, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 4 PM. The phone number is (717) 737-4511, and please select option 2 for scheduling. We appreciate your patience as we are currently experiencing a high call volume.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we implement these updates to better serve you, our valued partners in women’s health.
