NEW YORK, NY – Liberty Hall Capital Partners, a premier private equity firm exclusively targeting the global aerospace and defense industry, has announced the final closing of its first institutional fund, Liberty Hall Capital Partners Fund I, L.P. The fund successfully secured total commitments of $226.5 million, marking a significant milestone for the firm and underscoring strong investor confidence in its focused strategy.
The inaugural fund attracted a diverse and prestigious group of over fifteen institutional investors spanning the United States, Europe, and Asia. This investor base includes leading global asset managers, endowments, pension funds, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, fund-of-funds, and family offices. Furthermore, demonstrating a strong alignment of interest, Liberty Hall’s own investment professionals and Operating Advisors also made substantial capital commitments to the Fund.
This successful fundraise elevates Liberty Hall Capital Partners’ total capital under management to $545 million, inclusive of pre-fund investments and co-investment capital. This positions the firm as a significant player dedicated to the aerospace and defense sector.
Rowan Taylor, Founding Partner at Liberty Hall Capital Partners, commented on this achievement: “Since the inception of Liberty Hall, we have diligently pursued a focused and effective investment strategy within the aerospace industry. The successful closing of Fund I is a testament to this approach, and we are deeply grateful for the extraordinary trust our partners have placed in us. The overwhelming support and conviction in our firm, our team, and our specialized strategy is truly humbling.”
Liberty Hall Capital Partners employs a well-defined and repeatable investment strategy, focusing on deploying $50-$150 million in equity capital over time in control buyouts. The firm targets middle market businesses across North America and Europe that serve the global aerospace and defense industry. Since 2005, the principals at Liberty Hall have a proven track record, having spearheaded ten platform acquisitions and eleven add-on acquisitions within the aerospace sector.
Fund I’s portfolio already includes four robust platform investments, showcasing the firm’s investment approach:

These four platform companies have further expanded their market presence through seven strategic add-on acquisitions under the guidance of Liberty Hall Capital Partners.
