Mitchell Schneider, Co-Founder and Chairman of Legacy Capital Partners, brings over 35 years of comprehensive real estate development and legal acumen to the firm. His journey began with a solid foundation in real estate law, which then propelled him to establish First Interstate Properties, Ltd. in Lyndhurst, Ohio. Under Mitchell’s leadership as President and Chairman, First Interstate evolved into a full-service powerhouse, developing over four million square feet of retail space. Notably, First Interstate’s portfolio includes One University Circle, a landmark 20-story, 280-unit Class A residential development completed in Cleveland’s University Circle in 2018, and 121 Larchmere, an 88-unit multifamily project in Cleveland’s Larchmere neighborhood, finished in 2021. Mitchell’s expertise extends beyond development; he also serves as a Special Advisor to the Investment Committee for National Real Estate Advisors, a significant multi-billion-dollar real estate investment fund manager. His academic credentials include a J.D. from The College of Law at The Ohio State University and a B.A. in International Political Economics, also from Ohio State, further solidifying his deep understanding of both the legal and economic landscapes of real estate. His commitment extends to philanthropy, having served on boards for institutions such as the Jewish Federation of Cleveland and ORT America, and currently as Board Chair of the Western Reserve Land Conservancy.
David B. St. Pierre, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Legacy Capital Partners, has dedicated his 30-year career to real estate debt and capital markets. His extensive experience as an institutional real estate lender and investor nationally is invaluable to Legacy Capital Partners. David has cultivated strong relationships with developers and real estate professionals across the nation, providing senior and mezzanine debt and equity capital. Prior to co-founding Legacy Capital Partners in 2004, David was a Senior Vice President with KeyBank Real Estate Capital’s Private Equity Group. In this role, he was instrumental in identifying, underwriting, structuring, and closing equity and mezzanine investments across diverse property types nationwide. David’s educational background includes a B.A. degree from Ohio Wesleyan University and an MBA from Cleveland State University, providing him with a robust understanding of finance and business administration. Beyond his professional endeavors at Legacy Capital Partners, David is actively involved in the community, currently serving as the Board Chair of the Greater Cleveland Film Commission.
