Gregorio Schneider: A Key Leader at Latam Partners Driving Investment in Latin America

Gregorio Schneider stands as a Founding Partner and the Chief Investment Officer of TC Latin America Partners, a prominent firm dedicated to investments across the Latin American region. With over 25 years of deep-seated experience in emerging markets, Mr. Schneider brings a wealth of knowledge to Latam Partners, navigating both public and private markets with expertise. His investment strategies span a diverse range of asset classes, including equities, debt, distressed assets, and real estate, showcasing a comprehensive approach to investment management.

Prior to his pivotal role in establishing TC Latin America Partners in 2012, Gregorio Schneider held the position of Managing Director and Head of Emerging Markets at Och-Ziff Capital Management. In this capacity, he was instrumental in building the emerging markets business unit and expertly managing a diverse investment portfolio that encompassed both Latin America and Eastern Europe. His tenure at Och-Ziff, starting in 2007, was preceded by his role as Portfolio Manager for The Rohatyn Group, where he specialized in special situations investments within emerging markets. Earlier in his career, Mr. Schneider honed his skills at Spinnaker Capital, Crédit Agricole Indosuez, and within the real estate division of Banco Nacional de México (Banamex).

Beyond his executive responsibilities at Latam Partners, Gregorio Schneider actively contributes to various boards and organizations. He has served on the boards of directors for numerous companies throughout Latin America and is a board member for Latin America at EMPEA (Emerging Markets Private Equity Association). Further demonstrating his commitment to the region, he is a council member for real estate affairs at LAVCA (Latin American Venture Capital Association) and has been recognized by the World Economic Forum for his contributions to developing countries. Gregorio also serves on the Board of Directors of Qualitas of Life Foundation and Provivah Donor Fund, and is an advisory committee member for the social responsibility program at Columbia Business School.

Mr. Schneider’s academic credentials include a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) in Mexico City. His extensive experience and leadership at Latam Partners position him as a key figure in driving strategic investments and fostering growth within the Latin American market.
