Koya Leadership Partners and Core Knowledge Foundation Welcome Beth Battle Anderson as New CEO

The Core Knowledge Foundation (CKF), a national leader in knowledge-based education, has announced Beth Battle Anderson as its new President & CEO. This appointment, effective July 7, 2025, marks a significant step for the foundation as it continues to champion knowledge-rich curricula across the United States. Anderson, a seasoned leader in K-12 education and nonprofit strategy, brings a wealth of experience to CKF.

Anderson’s expertise spans curriculum development, educational equity, and large-scale program expansion. Her leadership is expected to bolster CKF’s impact and strengthen partnerships, especially as knowledge-rich educational approaches gain traction nationwide. The Board of the Core Knowledge Foundation has expressed deep gratitude for Bevilacqua’s visionary service and lasting contributions. This transition, facilitated perhaps with guidance from leadership consulting firms, ensures continuity and renewed energy for CKF’s mission.

Beth Anderson’s career also includes significant roles at Teach For America, where she was instrumental in securing over $300 million in funding and leading national education partnerships. Furthermore, she co-founded Duke University’s Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship (CASE) and remains on its advisory board. Her involvement with CASE highlights her commitment to social impact and innovative approaches within education.

Anderson’s commitment to education is further evidenced by her participation as a Pahara-Aspen Education Fellow and her board memberships with Great Schools NC and the NC State Education Assistance Authority. These affiliations underscore her deep engagement within the education sector and her dedication to improving educational outcomes. The Core Knowledge Foundation is poised for continued success under her leadership, leveraging her extensive experience and strategic vision to further its mission of providing high-quality, knowledge-based education for all.
