Tampa, FL (November 30, 2023) – A groundbreaking collaboration between Kitson & Partners and Tampa General Hospital (TGH) is set to redefine healthcare access for residents of Babcock Ranch, America’s pioneering solar-powered town. This strategic partnership unites the innovative vision of Kitson & Partners with the nationally acclaimed healthcare expertise of Tampa General Hospital, promising world-class medical services to this rapidly growing Southwest Florida community.
“This agreement signifies a powerful alliance between two forward-thinking organizations dedicated to leveraging technology and innovation to enhance the well-being of our communities,” stated Stacey Brandt, executive vice president and chief administrative officer at Tampa General Hospital. “Soon, Babcock Ranch residents will benefit from the exceptional care synonymous with TGH, deeply rooted in cutting-edge technology and innovation, mirroring the ethos of their state-of-the-art community.”
Babcock Ranch, master-planned by Kitson & Partners, stands as the 5th top-selling master-planned community nationwide in 2022. Spanning across 18,000 acres, the community is designed to include 19,500 residences and 6,000,000 square feet of commercial space. Kitson & Partners envisioned Babcock Ranch on the principle of harmonious coexistence between smart growth and sustainability, dedicating half of its expansive footprint to green spaces, parks, and scenic lakes, enriching the residential and downtown Founder’s Square experience.
“Health and wellness are foundational pillars of Babcock Ranch. This expansion of healthcare services, thanks to Kitson & Partners‘ commitment to our residents’ well-being, will provide unparalleled access to top-tier medical care,” commented Tom Hoban, president and chief investment officer of Kitson & Partners. “Building upon the existing Lee Memorial Physician Group and WellWay services in Founder’s Square, a comprehensive care team will be established to cater to the diverse healthcare needs of our growing community, encompassing preventative, routine, and urgent care. We recognize that access to superior healthcare is paramount, and this partnership with TGH, facilitated by Kitson & Partners, will undoubtedly deliver on that promise for our residents.”
The initial phase of this collaboration will see the construction of a TGH Urgent Care Powered by Fast Track facility at the main entrance of Babcock Ranch, within The Shoppes at Yellow Pine on Cypress Parkway. This 6,500-square-foot facility is strategically positioned to serve the approximately 8,000 current Babcock Ranch residents, as well as individuals in neighboring communities.
The remarkable growth trajectory of Babcock Ranch, spearheaded by Kitson & Partners, has amplified the critical need for readily accessible, high-quality healthcare services within the community. The forthcoming TGH Urgent Care Powered by Fast Track will address this demand, offering residents prompt medical attention from leading healthcare professionals for prevalent illnesses and injuries. Furthermore, dedicated care navigators will streamline access to Tampa General Hospital’s extensive network of specialists and experts, ensuring timely and efficient care coordination.
Within the 6,500-square-foot facility, 2,500 square feet are allocated to expand the range of healthcare services TGH will provide to the community. Care navigation will be seamlessly integrated to facilitate appointment scheduling, address specific patient needs, and connect residents with essential community resources and support systems. Tampa General Hospital intends to actively engage with Babcock Ranch residents through community outreach and focus groups to gain in-depth insights into their unique healthcare requirements. This proactive approach will enable Tampa General, in close collaboration with Kitson & Partners and community stakeholders, to develop innovative and adaptable healthcare solutions that evolve in tandem with the community’s needs over time.
TGH Urgent Care powered by Fast Track is renowned for delivering efficient, superior urgent care, administered by board-certified primary care providers in a welcoming and patient-centric environment. This network holds accreditation from the Urgent Care Association (UCA), signifying the highest level of recognition for urgent care centers and underscoring its commitment to stringent standards in patient care quality, safety, and service scope.
“The establishment of the new TGH Urgent Care Powered by Fast Track in Babcock Ranch signifies our commitment to extending world-class healthcare access throughout Southwest Florida, in partnership with Kitson & Partners,” emphasized Adam Smith, executive vice president and chief ambulatory care officer, Tampa General Hospital. “Residents in the area will benefit from convenient access to treatment for common illnesses and injuries. Should patients require more specialized care, our seamless care navigation system will connect them to the comprehensive services of our nationally recognized academic health system and its network of best-in-class providers across the state.”
The new clinic, with operating hours seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., will offer treatment for a wide array of common illnesses and injuries.
