What Aspects of FACS Do You Value Most in Your Role as a Partner?
For me, the standout feature of working at FACS is undoubtedly the people. It’s about being surrounded by individuals I genuinely trust. We’ve cultivated a robust team dynamic here in the Central Valley, and I’ve also fostered meaningful connections across different FACS offices. These relationships transform challenging projects and demanding hours into experiences that are not only manageable but truly enjoyable. This sense of camaraderie and mutual support is what makes FACS feel like a true partnership.
Can You Share a Personal Detail About Yourself Outside of Your Professional King & Partners Role?
Something that might surprise people about me is my deep appreciation for horror movies, particularly slasher films. Ever since I was captivated by “Scream,” I’ve been a dedicated follower of the franchise. There’s just something uniquely thrilling about a well-executed jump scare! It’s a way to detach and enjoy a different kind of suspense away from the project management landscape.
What “Geeky” Interests Do You Have That Reflect Your Passion as a Partner in Your Fields?
Golf equipment absolutely consumes my attention! I could enthusiastically discuss it for hours. I’ve always been fascinated by the intricacies of golf technology and how specific equipment can subtly influence—either positively or negatively—a player’s performance, often without them even realizing it. This attention to detail and optimization translates into my approach to project management and partnerships at FACS.
How Do You Unwind and Recharge to Maintain Strong Partner Relationships?
Recently, I’ve discovered a new way to relax: painting miniature figures. It’s become my go-to method for unwinding after a demanding day or week at work. There’s something very therapeutic about focusing on the fine details of painting while enjoying a glass of whiskey. Keeping it simple and focused helps me recharge and come back refreshed to my partnerships at FACS.
What Simple Indulgence Do You Enjoy Most as a Treat?
Without a doubt, it’s a Snickers Peanut Butter bar. In my opinion, it’s the ultimate sweet creation. It’s a small pleasure that consistently hits the spot.
If You Could Meet a Celebrity at Starbucks, Who Would You Choose and Why?
Initially, my thoughts went to Kobe Bryant (RIP), but I think I’d have to choose Bryson DeChambeau. I’d be fascinated to delve into a conversation about golf equipment with him and finally have someone else share and understand my enthusiasm for it! It would be a great chance to connect with someone who shares a similar passion for optimizing performance through equipment, much like we strive for optimization in our partnerships at FACS.
Is There a Book That Has Recently Captured Your Interest?
I don’t have an all-time favorite at the moment, but thanks to the SAG group, I’m currently reading “Leaders Eat Last” by Simon Sinek. I’m finding it to be a very insightful and enjoyable read, particularly in how it relates to team dynamics and leadership in partnerships, which is highly relevant to my role and the ethos at FACS.
