The Jack Carbine: A Haley Strategic Partners and Bravo Company Manufacturing Collaboration

The Jack Carbine is a meticulously engineered weapon system, born from the collaboration between Haley Strategic Partners and Bravo Company Manufacturing (BCM). This purpose-built carbine, while adhering to stringent military specifications in its construction, is available for civilian ownership directly through BCM.

One of the immediately noticeable features of the Jack Carbine is its distinct grey finish. This “Disruptive Grey” Cerakote coating, a custom creation by Joint Force Enterprises in conjunction with Haley Strategic, was intentionally developed for superior low-visibility performance across diverse environments. Unlike solid black, which can often create a stark silhouette, this matte, neutral grey allows the carbine to effectively blend into various backgrounds, enhancing concealment.

Delving into the specifications, the Jack Carbine features a 14.5″ barrel, expertly modified by BCM with a permanently affixed compensator. This modification achieves the legally mandated 16″ barrel length for civilian sales, without compromising performance. Despite its robust construction and features, the Jack Carbine maintains a manageable weight of 6 lbs. 11 oz., a figure that includes the weapon light, mount, and iron sights.

Beyond the core carbine, Haley Strategic also introduced several noteworthy component innovations with the Jack Carbine. One significant area of focus was muzzle devices. After extensive debate and testing of various compensators and flash hiders, the BCMGUNFIGHTER Compensator emerged. This hybrid device is engineered to strike an optimal balance, effectively reducing muzzle rise, minimizing flash signature, and mitigating lateral pressure and noise. This design represents a year of dedicated development and rigorous testing to ensure peak performance.

Another key upgrade featured on the Jack Carbine is the stock. It incorporates a newly designed, smaller, and lighter SOPMOD Bravo buttstock. Manufactured by B5 Systems, this stock retains the sought-after cheek weld of the original Crane-developed SOPMOD stocks while offering a more streamlined and lightweight profile. Essentially, the SOPMOD Bravo represents an enhanced, mil-spec iteration of the classic SOPMOD stock design.

These meticulously chosen components collectively define the Jack Carbine. Significantly, these individual components are also available for separate purchase, allowing users to upgrade their existing AR15 platforms with the same high-quality parts featured on the Jack Carbine. The Jack Carbine is offered at a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $2145. To put this into perspective, a previous DIY AR-15 build article highlighted a total build cost of approximately $1700 (excluding tools and hydrographics). Considering the inclusion of an Inforce weapon light, mount, and a valuable $200 HSP training certificate, the Jack Carbine presents a compelling value proposition for a purpose-built, high-performance carbine developed through the expertise of HSP and BCM.
