Keith Miller: Driving Growth and Value at Goode Partners

Keith Miller stands as a pivotal partner at Goode Partners, bringing a wealth of experience and a proven track record in the branded consumer marketplace. His journey, marked by entrepreneurial success and strategic advisory roles, underscores his expertise in identifying and nurturing high-growth potential within the consumer sector, making him an invaluable asset to Goode Partners and their portfolio companies.

Before his crucial role in the formation of Goode Partners in January 2006, Mr. Miller operated as a private investor and strategic advisor, focusing on the global landscape of branded consumer businesses. His insights were highly sought after, leading to a significant advisory position with Itochu Corporation from 2002 to 2006. Based in both Osaka and Tokyo, Japan, he played a key role in Itochu’s strategic initiatives, overseeing the origination, structuring, and execution of critical agreements across Asia. These included mergers, acquisitions, licensing deals, distribution networks, and joint ventures, all centered around enhancing Itochu’s brand portfolio. During this period, and as a principal investor himself, Mr. Miller adeptly targeted and acquired numerous global consumer and lifestyle brands, leveraging strategic planning and management structuring to accelerate their market presence and profitability.

Mr. Miller’s entrepreneurial spirit is deeply rooted in his experience as the co-founder and president of an apparel manufacturing and screen printing business from 1987 to 1999. This venture began by serving iconic New York City establishments like Outback and China Club. His business quickly expanded to supply some of the world’s most rapidly growing retail and consumer giants, including Gap, Adidas, Old Navy, Polo Ralph Lauren, Levi Strauss & Co., Armani Exchange, Calvin Klein, Timberland, and Express, among many others. This robust manufacturing platform became the springboard for strategic partnerships with burgeoning street brands Zoo York and Wu-Tang Clan in the early 1990s, demonstrating his early acumen for brand building and market trend anticipation.

At Goode Partners, Keith Miller’s expertise is further amplified through his active involvement on numerous boards. He currently serves as a board member for Supreme New York®, DTLR/Villa, and Stone Fire Grill, showcasing his ongoing commitment to guiding successful brands. His past board roles include influential companies such as Dave’s Killer Bread, Sir Kensington’s condiments, Rosa Mexicano, La Colombe, Intermix LLC, All Saints Ltd., Skullcandy, Incipio® Incase ®, Lacrosse Unlimited, and American Apparel, where he also chaired the Compensation Committee. Furthermore, Mr. Miller’s advisory extends to the cutting edge of retail, having served as a board advisor to FlightClub, before its acquisition by GOAT, INC., and as an early investor in OutdoorVoices, highlighting his forward-thinking approach to market trends. His early career also includes a board membership and investment in Chrome Hearts, Inc., and advisory roles with A Bathing Ape (Japan), Paper Media, and The Impossible Project.

Mr. Miller’s global perspective is reinforced by his former board membership with the Sachdev Group in India, which manages luxury consumer brands like Marc Jacobs and Stella McCartney within the Indian market. Today, Keith Miller continues to actively advise entrepreneurs, CEOs, and principal shareholders within the dynamic consumer marketplace, further solidifying his position as a thought leader and key influencer in the industry. A graduate of Clark University with a B.S. in Economics, Keith resides in New York City with his family. His personal interests, including contemporary art collection and large format Polaroid photography, reflect a blend of creative insight and meticulous attention to detail that mirrors his professional approach at Goode Partners. His diverse experiences and strategic acumen make Keith Miller a driving force behind Goode Partners’ continued success and a valuable partner for businesses seeking growth and market leadership.
