Buwa Binitie serves as the Founder and CEO of Dumas Collective®, where he is at the helm of acquisition, development, management, and financial operations. Within the development division, Dantes Partners, Mr. Binitie has cultivated deep expertise in tax credit financing, including LIHTC, NMTC, and HTC. He has successfully secured financing from virtually every available public capital source, such as HOME, HPTF, NSP, CDBG, and NIF. Mr. Binitie strategically focuses on crafting innovative deal structures that effectively meet the needs of his clients, community stakeholders, and government agency partners. His dedicated approach to efficiently financing community development projects has enabled him to deliver value that goes beyond mere financial metrics. Mr. Binitie’s career is defined by a strong dedication to the creation and preservation of affordable and workforce housing. Since establishing Dantes Partners, Mr. Binitie and the collective have finalized nearly $2.3 billion in unconventional real estate transactions, utilizing low-income tax credits, new market tax credits, tax-exempt bonds, and various other alternative financing instruments, solidifying Dantes Partners as a leader in innovative finance for community development. Mr. Binitie’s leadership extends to public service; he is the former Chairman of the DC Housing Finance Agency Board of Directors and a Board Member of the DC Building Industry Association.
