Prior to his impactful tenure at CrossHarbor Capital Partners LLC, Richard cultivated an extensive 28-year career at Prudential Mortgage Capital Company (PMCC). His journey at Prudential culminated in the position of Managing Director, where he also held a significant role within PMCC’s Senior Management Group. Notably, Richard spearheaded the company’s Capital Markets and CMBS programs, demonstrating exceptional leadership and market acumen. During this time, he successfully directed the sale of an impressive $2.9 billion in first mortgage CMBS loans across 29 securitizations, showcasing his ability to navigate complex financial transactions and deliver substantial results. Richard’s association with Prudential commenced in 1990, and throughout his nearly three decades there, he engaged in a diverse array of roles spanning equity, development, and debt aspects within Prudential’s real estate division.
Before leading Capital Markets at Prudential, Richard was entrusted with the critical responsibility of loan originations for national accounts throughout the central region of the United States. His performance in this role was marked by remarkable success, originating over $12 billion in loans across all property types, underscoring his comprehensive understanding of the real estate market and financing. Earlier in his Prudential career, Richard contributed to the Capital Markets unit of the Prudential Realty Group and served as Asset/Portfolio Manager for Prudential Realty Trust, a publicly-traded real estate investment trust until its liquidation in 1995. His professional trajectory also includes valuable experience at New York City-based real estate firms RGR Properties and Madison-Newmark Real Estate, further solidifying his broad industry knowledge.
