Expressing Gratitude for an Enriching Summer Internship at Centerfield Capital Partners

My internship at Centerfield Capital Partners has come to a close, and I am filled with immense gratitude for the invaluable experience and the incredible team I had the privilege of working alongside for the past two months. I feel incredibly fortunate to have been welcomed into such a supportive and insightful environment.

I want to extend a special thank you to Jill Margetts, Michael Miller, Mark Hollis, and Faraz Abbasi for giving me this remarkable opportunity at Centerfield Capital Partners. Observing the investor committee in action was a truly enlightening experience. I gained significant insights into their deal evaluation processes, their effective communication strategies, and their leadership roles within Centerfield and across their diverse portfolio companies. This hands-on exposure has been instrumental in understanding the dynamics of private equity and investment management.

Furthermore, I am grateful to Avante Capital Partners for their enthusiastic hosting of the Small Business Investing Scholars Program this summer. It was wonderful connecting with various members of their team, particularly David Ng, an IU alumnus, whose personal and professional guidance has been invaluable throughout this internship.

Leaving Centerfield Capital Partners is bittersweet. Reflecting on this summer, I am struck by the exceptional individuals I’ve met and the wealth of knowledge I’ve acquired. It’s challenging to conclude this chapter just as it feels like it was beginning. However, I am eager to nurture the new relationships I’ve formed and apply everything I’ve learned as I embark on my first year of the 3/2 MBA program at IU. To everyone at Centerfield Capital Partners, my sincere gratitude for everything, and I eagerly anticipate our paths crossing again in the future.
