Brinley Partners, LP, a private credit-focused alternative asset manager, recently announced the appointment of Rex Chung as Partner. Chung will spearhead the firm’s investor relations and capital formation efforts. He brings extensive experience to Brinley, having spent three decades in the financial industry.
Rex Chung’s Extensive Experience in Finance
Before joining Brinley Partners, Chung served as Head of Capital Formation at Hunter Point Capital, a firm specializing in acquiring stakes in private fund managers. As one of the initial members of the Hunter Point team, he played a pivotal role in the firm’s growth, culminating in the closure of their inaugural $3.3 billion fund.
Prior to Hunter Point, Chung led both the Client & Partner Group and the Capital Markets team in Asia at KKR & Co, Inc. In this capacity, he facilitated the raising of billions of dollars from prominent global investors. His experience also includes leading business development at EIG Global Energy Asia and 16 years at S.G. Warburg & Co. (later UBS), holding senior positions in London, New York, and Hong Kong.
