The Role: Vice President of Operations, Asante Physician Partners
Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Asante, the Vice President of Operations (VPO) for Asante Physician Partners will be a pivotal leader responsible for the efficient and effective operations of all APP practices. The VPO will collaborate closely with APP and Asante leadership to advance technology solutions and develop innovative, efficient models of care delivery. Key responsibilities include supporting provider performance, ensuring financial accountability, fostering employee and provider engagement, and championing an outstanding patient experience across all APP clinics. Key Selection Criteria
Asante is seeking a highly qualified candidate who demonstrates:
- Extensive Leadership Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience within a multi-specialty physician group practice setting is essential.
- Advanced Education: A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or a related field is required.
- Health System Expertise: Proven experience (5+ years) leading physician group operations within a health system environment, with in-depth knowledge of operations, physician recruitment, contracting, and revenue cycle management.
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of physician compensation models, productivity metrics, and industry benchmarking.
- Contractual Knowledge: Expertise in contracts and contractual arrangements related to clinical services and physician-hospital relationships, including employment, professional services, call agreements, service agreements, and management agreements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of laws and regulations governing physician-hospital business relationships, such as Stark Law, Anti-kickback Statute, and Anti-fraud & Abuse regulations.
- Relationship Building & Collaboration: Exceptional ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, from clinical and administrative professionals to front-line staff and community members.
- Mentorship & Coaching Skills: Demonstrated skills as a mentor and coach, capable of developing and empowering teams.
