Yesterday marked the official launch of Allied Climate Partners (ATP) at the inaugural Mission 300 Africa Energy Summit in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, signaling a significant step forward in addressing Africa’s critical energy and climate challenges. With a staggering 300 million people across the continent still lacking access to electricity, the demand for specialized expertise to foster innovative and impactful solutions has never been greater. Allied Climate Partners is strategically positioned to meet this urgent need.
ATP is dedicated to supporting key stakeholders in the region, including prominent organizations such as The World Bank, the Trade and Development Bank Group (TDB Group), The Rockefeller Foundation, and The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP). By collaborating closely with these allied climate partners, ATP is committed to achieving the ambitious objectives of Mission 300 and accelerating broader initiatives focused on energy access and climate action across Africa. This collaborative approach ensures that the necessary expertise is readily available to drive effective solutions and cultivate local capabilities within the region.
Our commitment to delivering tangible impact is further demonstrated through our partnerships with transformative organizations. Alongside The African Climate Foundation, ATP has formalized Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with Gridworks and Meridiam. These leading firms have already utilized our talent platform to identify and secure highly qualified experts for their essential projects. These strategic alliances underscore our shared dedication to nurturing local talent and scaling transformative climate and energy projects throughout Africa, ensuring long-term sustainability and regional growth.
At Allied Climate Partners, our mission is clear: to empower Africa’s transition to sustainable energy while simultaneously fostering local expertise, strengthening regional capacity, and supporting robust economic growth. We aim to achieve this by effectively leveraging the expanding pool of independent, highly skilled professionals who are passionate about driving positive change and building a resilient future for Africa.
