Parkersburg Bridge Partners: Your Gateway to the Mid-Ohio Valley

IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT FRAUDULENT TOLL COLLECTION TEXTS

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has issued a public warning regarding a rising text message phishing scam, commonly known as “smishing.” In this scam, fraudsters are posing as tolling authorities, falsely claiming that recipients owe outstanding toll amounts. These deceptive messages prompt individuals to click on a link to settle the supposed balance and avoid incurring late fees.

If you receive a text message of this nature and wish to confirm whether you have an actual outstanding balance, please verify your account online at https://www.mymovpass.com/ or contact Parkersburg Bridge Partners customer service directly at 855-643-4389. Our customer service team is available weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET to assist you.

The FBI strongly advises consumers against clicking on any links within such suspicious text messages and recommends deleting them immediately. To report fraudulent text messages, please use the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) at www.ic3.gov.

About Parkersburg Bridge Partners: Investing in Our Community

Parkersburg Bridge Partners is more than just a bridge operator; we are a committed member of the Parkersburg community. The Memorial Bridge serves as a crucial artery in the Mid-Ohio Valley, facilitating connectivity between communities, supporting employment hubs, and providing essential emergency routes, all while driving regional economic growth.

As the proud owners of the Memorial Bridge, Parkersburg Bridge Partners is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of safety and operational effectiveness. We are responsible for the design, rehabilitation, ownership, operation, and ongoing maintenance of this vital structure. Crucially, Parkersburg Bridge Partners is establishing deep roots within Parkersburg. We are committed to hiring local talent and actively participating in the community’s progress.

As a local subsidiary of United Bridge Partners, a leading private bridge infrastructure company, the entire Memorial Bridge rehabilitation project is fully funded through private investment. This means no local, state, or federal tax dollars are used for construction or ongoing operations, ensuring responsible financial stewardship while delivering a critical infrastructure upgrade.

During the rehabilitation phase, Parkersburg Bridge Partners partnered with the City of Parkersburg for maintenance and tolling operations, ensuring a smooth and seamless transition for all stakeholders. Looking ahead, Parkersburg Bridge Partners is committed to employing local expertise, hiring a local general manager, operations personnel, and customer service representatives for the long-term management of the Memorial Bridge. Our collaboration with Kokosing Construction Company further underscores this commitment, ensuring the utilization of union contractors and workers for bridge operations and maintenance. We are proud to have received endorsements from the Affiliated Construction Trades Council and five local trades groups, highlighting our dedication to local partnerships and skilled labor.
