Can you share a bit about your background?
Being born and raised right here in Charlotte provides me with a deep connection to this community and the specific healthcare needs of our region, including areas like Matthews. While my education took me away for a period, my return six years ago was driven by a desire to contribute to the growth and well-being of Charlotte. My wife’s work as a social worker with Communities In Schools, and our life raising two young daughters here, further roots me in this community. Family time and friendships are incredibly important to me.

What does your role as Senior Vice President of Operations at Tryon Management Group entail?
My primary focus is to be a support system and advocate for our team partners at every level, including those serving patients in Matthews and beyond. I see my role as removing any roadblocks that might prevent our teams from achieving even greater heights in patient care and organizational growth. This means ensuring everyone has the resources and support needed to excel, both individually and collectively.
Building trust is paramount, and a key aspect of my job is to ensure we have the right individuals in the right positions. My approach is always open and accessible; I want every team partner to know their immense value to our mission and vision, especially as we continue to expand and serve communities like Matthews.

My professional attraction to Tryon Medical Partners is deeply rooted in my strong conviction about the fundamental importance of primary care and internal medicine. For too long, primary care, the very foundation of our healthcare system, has been undervalued. Tryon’s commitment to strengthening primary care, particularly in areas like Matthews, resonates strongly with me. The driving force here at Tryon is palpable – a clear “why” that motivates everyone. Is there something surprising about you that many people might not know?
Outside of my professional life, I have a passion for soccer, stemming from my time playing in college. I am also an enthusiastic supporter of all Charlotte sports teams.
