Partners in Home Care Missoula Expands to Hamilton

Partners in Home Care, a non-profit home health and hospice organization serving western Montana since 1987, recently opened a new satellite office in Hamilton to better serve the Bitterroot Valley. This expansion brings much-needed sleep aid services closer to residents, eliminating the need for lengthy trips to Missoula.

The new office, located at 1986 N. 1st Street, Suite D, Hamilton, offers Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) therapy and support. This central location provides convenient access for patients in Darby, Sula, and surrounding communities. Previously, these individuals faced a long commute to Missoula for essential sleep-related care.

CEO Corin Schneider, a 37-year veteran in nursing and hospice care, emphasized the organization’s commitment to serving all patients, regardless of their ability to pay. Partners in Home Care’s non-profit status allows for flexibility in payment options and access to grants and donations, ensuring that financial constraints don’t hinder access to crucial care. Schneider highlighted the importance of this mission, stating, “We don’t turn patients away.”

The Hamilton location focuses on PAP therapy because of the specialized equipment, training, and individualized fitting required for optimal results. Dustin McIntyre, Director of Home Medical Equipment, explained that in-person instruction is vital for patient success, especially for older individuals who may struggle with written instructions or complex equipment. He stressed the importance of hands-on learning and personalized support to ensure effective treatment. “It is really exciting to bring high quality sleep services to the residents of the Bitterroot,” said McIntyre. For McIntyre, the most rewarding aspect of his work is witnessing the positive impact these services have on patients’ lives.

Registered Nurse Rose Larson, who will be staffing the Hamilton office full-time, echoed this sentiment. She emphasized the logistical challenges faced by patients who previously had to travel to Missoula for multiple appointments. The Hamilton office streamlines the process, making it easier for patients to access the care they need. Larson is passionate about educating patients and simplifying complex equipment, believing that understanding and proper use are key to successful sleep therapy. She encourages anyone experiencing sleep issues to seek testing, stating, “It can make a huge difference.”

The Hamilton office serves individuals aged 18 and older with diagnosed sleep disorders. It also functions as a base of operations for Partners in Home Care staff working in the Bitterroot Valley. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., with Friday appointments available upon request. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call (406) 327-3751. Partners in Home Care is dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to communities across western Montana, and the new Hamilton location reinforces their commitment to accessibility and patient well-being.
