It would be tempting to assume that students are completely exhausted at the semester’s end, avoiding mentally stimulating activities. However, this couldn’t be further from the truth, especially for an exceptional group of students who recently participated in a design thinking session at Enventys Partners. Thanks to the kind invitation from Christine Nicodemus and Erik Murphy of Enventys Partners, a group of students were welcomed to their Charlotte office to engage in a design thinking experience centered around the Wayhaven app.
Wayhaven is an innovative application designed to provide personalized mental wellness support and build resilience in high school and college students. Already partnering with numerous colleges across the nation, Wayhaven is now expanding its focus to high schools, particularly in the Charlotte region. Their mission is to empower students to become the best versions of themselves by offering 24/7 mental health support.
The students, including Shravan Selvavel, Martin Heneghan, Reed Zimmerman, Brunner Williams, Ikenna Oriaku, Dev Dwivedy, Jada Probst, Nathan Childers, Jenna C., and Daniel Behrman, enthusiastically tackled the challenging questions presented during the design thinking session. Their responses were filled with creativity and insightful perspectives. As the founder of Edgeucation, I was truly impressed by these students’ eagerness to address complex issues and their openness in discussing the daily stressors and anxieties they encounter in their academic lives.
This group of student leaders has the potential to make a significant impact, particularly in addressing mental health, a topic that has often been considered taboo. Their dedication to openly discuss and tackle these issues will undoubtedly lead them to remarkable achievements in their future careers. We extend our sincere gratitude to Christine Nicodemus and Erik Murphy at Enventys Partners for providing this invaluable opportunity to engage students and contribute to the future development of Wayhaven.
