Key Responsibilities of the Retail Pharmacy Manager

- Strategic Collaboration: Working closely with administrative and physician leaders within partner Community Health Centers to design and implement pharmacist-driven clinical and dispensing services that directly address patient needs.
- Developing Collaborative Practices: Creating and implementing collaborative practice agreements focused on improving medication compliance for high-risk patients, leading to better health outcomes.
- Ensuring Regulatory Compliance: Implementing best practices and rigorously ensuring the pharmacy department’s full compliance with all 340B rules and regulations, maintaining the integrity of the program.
- Staffing and Operational Efficiency: Managing pharmacy staffing levels to effectively meet the demands of the pharmacy and ensuring smooth, efficient operations.
- Maintaining Accurate Records: Overseeing the meticulous maintenance of records for all prescription medications received and dispensed, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
- Upholding Dispensing Standards: Establishing and enforcing policies that guarantee the accurate dispensing and labeling of prescriptions, prioritizing patient safety.
- Pharmacy Security and Safety: Maintaining the highest levels of security within the prescription area, preventing unauthorized access, and diligently reporting any instances of theft or diversion of controlled substances as required by federal and state regulations.
