The Vice President of Operations (VPO) at Asante Physician Partners reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Asante and holds a critical position in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of all APP practices. This leadership role is entrusted with the responsibility of delivering efficient operational and clinical support that aligns seamlessly with the strategic goals of both APP and the broader Asante Health System. The VPO will collaborate closely with APP and Asante leadership to champion technological advancements and cultivate innovative, efficient models of care delivery. A key aspect of this role involves supporting and enhancing APP provider performance, encompassing financial accountability, fostering employee and provider engagement, and optimizing patient experience across all APP clinics.
To be considered for this impactful Vice President of Operations position at Asante Physician Partners, candidates should possess a robust background including:
- A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience within a multi-specialty physician group practice environment.
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or a closely related field is essential.
- Demonstrated success with 5+ years of experience leading physician group operations within a health system context, showcasing comprehensive understanding of group practice operations, encompassing recruitment, contracting, and revenue cycle management.
- In-depth knowledge of physician compensation models, productivity metrics, and industry benchmarking standards.
- A strong grasp of contracts and contractual arrangements pertinent to clinical services and physician-hospital relationships, including employment, professional services, call agreements, service agreements, and management agreements.
- Familiarity with the legal and regulatory landscape governing physician-hospital business relationships, such as Stark Law, Anti-kickback Statute, and Anti-fraud & Abuse regulations.
- Exceptional ability to cultivate and manage effective relationships and collaborations across diverse groups, from clinical professionals to front-line staff, and community stakeholders.
- Proven mentorship and coaching skills to develop and guide teams and individuals.
