EyeCare Partners LLC Hosts Second Annual Optometry Residency Winter Summit

The summit provided a unique setting for education and collaboration, far from the typical classroom. Optometry residents, alongside EyeCare Partners (ECP) doctors and alumni, engaged in a weekend of lectures, round table discussions, and case poster presentations. The educational content was enriched by the contributions of five ECP doctors: Dawn Hartman, Erich Hinel, Christopher D Riemann, MD, Walter Whitley, and Mary Beth Yackey, along with eleven talented OD residents.

A highlight of the summit was the presentation by Dr. Yackey and Dr. Riemann, retina specialists from Cincinnati Eye Institute. They shared insights from their two-decade-long working relationship, emphasizing the critical importance of collaboration between optometry and ophthalmology. Their presentation exemplified EyeCare Partners’ clinically integrated model, showcasing how teamwork enhances patient care and outcomes. This philosophy is central to EyeCare Partners LLC’s mission to deliver comprehensive and integrated eye care services.

The success of the Optometry Residency Winter Summit was also made possible by the generous support of industry partners like Tarsus Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and Cheri Andler, O.D. Their commitment to the program allows EyeCare Partners to provide residents with exposure to the latest advancements in ocular health management.

EyeCare Partners extends its gratitude to Kim Rudolphi for her dedication and meticulous planning that contributed to the smooth execution of the summit. Most importantly, EyeCare Partners proudly acknowledges the outstanding OD residents who represented the organization with professionalism and enthusiasm. Their participation and engagement underscored the value of EyeCare Partners LLC’s commitment to residency education and the future of eye care. The event not only provided valuable education but also fostered crucial networking opportunities for future leaders in optometry.
