Freedom Dental Partners, a dentist-centric Dental Support Organization (DSO) and mentorship collective, has announced the successful acquisition of Manhattan-based dntl bar. This strategic move further strengthens Freedom Dental Partners’ footprint in the New York City dental market and aligns with its commitment to growth and exceptional patient care.
As a rapidly expanding DSO, Freedom Dental Partners supports over 350 dental practices across 42 states, boasting a substantial $65 million EBITDA. Headquartered in Montclair, New Jersey, the organization is known for its dentist-owned ethos and dedication to fostering professional development through mentorship programs.
Avi Weisfogel, a prominent figure in the dental industry, co-founded both the International Academy of Sleep and Freedom Dental Partners. His extensive background includes successfully managing and selling multiple dental practices, as well as establishing a network of practices specializing in sleep apnea treatment using oral appliance therapy. This wealth of experience underscores the leadership and vision driving Freedom Dental Partners’ strategic acquisitions.
“We are thrilled to welcome the dntl bar team into the Freedom Dental Partners family,” stated Avi Weisfogel, CEO of Freedom Dental Partners. “This acquisition is a pivotal element of our growth strategy, and we are eager to continue delivering outstanding dental care to patients in New York City.”

dntl bar, recognized as a comprehensive “one-stop shop” for dental needs in New York City, will immediately integrate into Freedom Dental Partners’ operations. The transition will involve consolidating operations into dntl bar’s flagship Chelsea location. Crucially, Ben Elchami, the founder of dntl bar, will remain with the practice along with its team of four experienced dentists, ensuring continuity and preserving the established quality of care.
Dr. Steven Albert, who spearheaded the acquisition negotiations for Freedom Dental Partners, emphasized the patient-centric approach guiding the integration.
“The high caliber of dentists, hygienists, and advanced technology at dntl bar will ensure a seamless and positive patient experience throughout this transition,” said Dr. Albert. “Dntl Bar has earned the trust of thousands of patients, and we are committed to upholding and exceeding that standard of exceptional care for every individual.”
Established in 2019 by Ben Elchami, dntl bar has become a significant corporate dental services organization in New York City, serving a robust patient base of 15,000 active patients and generating annual revenues exceeding $8 million. The acquisition by Freedom Dental Partners represents a significant step in dntl bar’s evolution and its ongoing commitment to accessible and affordable dental care.
“I am proud of what we have built at dntl bar, and I am excited to collaborate with Freedom Dental Partners to further develop and enhance our services,” commented Elchami. “Our primary focus has always been on providing convenient, affordable, and accessible dental care to our patients, and I am confident that this partnership will enable us to achieve that mission even more effectively.”
The acquisition is effective immediately. While the specific terms of the agreement remain undisclosed, the integration promises a strengthened dental service offering in New York City under the Freedom Dental Partners umbrella.
