Your Guide to Care at Partners in Women’s Healthcare

Welcome to important updates from Partners in Women’s Healthcare, your dedicated partners in women’s healthcare. We are committed to providing you with exceptional care and want to keep you informed about our policies and exciting changes. Please take a moment to review the following important information designed to enhance your experience with Partners in Women’s Healthcare.

Understanding Our After-Hours Care Policy

For non-urgent and non-emergent needs, we kindly ask that you contact our office during our normal business hours, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 4 PM. This allows us to best address your concerns within our standard operating framework.

Please be aware that services provided outside of these hours for non-urgent or non-emergent care may incur a $25 after-hours fee. It’s important to note that this fee is typically not covered by insurance plans. For prescription refills or other services requested after hours, a telemedicine appointment might be necessary. Partners in Women’s Healthcare will bill your insurance for telemedicine services, but you will be responsible for any costs not covered by your plan. If you need to cancel an appointment after hours, you can leave a message with our answering service at no charge.

Mask Policy for the Health and Safety of Everyone

To ensure the well-being of all our patients and staff, we have a mask policy in place. If you are feeling unwell but must attend your appointment, we require you to wear a mask. This simple precaution helps prevent the spread of germs within our facilities. Our Front Desk Staff will gladly provide you with a mask upon arrival if needed. Furthermore, if you would prefer your healthcare provider to wear a mask during your appointment, please do not hesitate to inform our Front Desk Staff, and we will accommodate your request.

Exciting Announcement: Obstetrical Care Transitioning to Penn State Hampden Medical Center

Partners in Women’s Healthcare is thrilled to announce a significant enhancement to our obstetrical services. Effective March 1, 2025, all obstetrical care will be transitioned to the state-of-the-art Penn State Hampden Medical Center (PSHMC). While we are making this exciting move for obstetrical services, please note that surgeries and gynecological care will continue to be performed at UPMC: Pinnacle and the West Shore Surgery Center.

We understand you may have questions regarding this transition, and we encourage you to visit the Hampden Q&A section under the Patient Info tab on our website for more detailed information. As the region’s only private OB/GYN practice, we believe this transition to Penn State Hampden Medical Center will further strengthen our commitment to providing you with the highest quality care and experience.

Scheduling Your Routine Gynecology Appointments

For your convenience, routine yearly gynecology appointments can be easily scheduled through your Patient Portal. Alternatively, you can contact our Central Scheduling Department by calling (717) 737-4511 and selecting option 2 for scheduling, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 4 PM. We appreciate your patience as we are currently experiencing a high call volume.

Thank you for your understanding and continued trust in Partners in Women’s Healthcare. We are dedicated to being your partners in women’s healthcare, and we are here to support you every step of the way.
